Gary Brito, the owner/operator of Strive Physical Therapy, has been a part of the industry since 2011, initially starting as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). His dedication to his profession led him to further his education at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016.
With extensive experience in various settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health, outpatient clinics, workers comp facilities, and inpatient rehab, Dr. Brito found his true passion while working with those who had catastrophic events and injuries in inpatient rehab. Working with patients who have suffered serious injuries that require prolonged, skilled rehabilitation brings him immense satisfaction. He takes joy in pushing and challenging patients to achieve things they never thought possible, such as helping stroke patients walk again, encouraging spinal cord injury patients to stand and transfer on their own, and supporting individuals with amputations as they learn to walk with a prosthetic limb. The goal was to take this model and bring it to an outpatient facility where many times patients struggle to find qualified care once being discharged home.
